The Powerful Impact of Words in Society and Our Lives

Words are what brings our reality to life, as individuals and as all of society. Words are spiritual, and what is in the spiritual realm is what is brought forth to this physical realm as reality and the physical world. The meanings and spiritual power of words have created this world, for the good and for the absolute worse.

We need to understand the power of words so that we don’t fall victim to it (and this power is that words are spiritual, as you can’t touch them). Because we are spirit beings, the power of words affects us greatly and makes us governed by the words we hear, say, and live by. This is why the Bible will make you walk with God as His child, and even make you a partaker in His divine nature.

The power of words comes from the Mighty God when He spoke creation into existence. His Word was with Him (as He spoke it), and the Word was Him (what He was saying was who He was—the Good Creator). He revealed how we are what we say (and our lives reflect what we say). This reality of words having spiritually powerful meanings, in some unfortunate ways, because of our fallen nature, works against us in certain ways.

The Influence of the Power of Words

The world became godless, sinful, and hateful. Human beings weren’t one species anymore but became segregated by race. It is no surprise to me why the Black people and “dark” skinned people became seen as less than, as the word “dark” had previously just existed as “bad” and “evil”. Now the word ‘dark’ is a pun as it has more than one meaning, but this doesn’t take away the spiritually charged influence of the word. What the word ‘dark’ initially and mainly existed and exists as seeps forth in the other ways the word is (now) used. Just how ‘white’ seeped forth its spiritually charged meaning to influence the world according to its meaning, with terms such as “white supremacy”.

This is why the implications of words (because they are spiritually charged) must be a conscious knowledge we incorporate in our beings, to teach and remind our minds and souls that the word ‘dark’ exists as two separate meanings. We have to separate the spiritual oneness of words’ meanings (especially in the English language) because if we do not, your soul and your mind will cause Black people to be synonymous with evil people because that’s what the word “dark” solely exists as or means spiritually in the grand scheme and thus to you. We can’t unconsciously move, we have to diligently and intentionally be the directors of our internal and external realities, and do so in Love (God).

How to Master the Spiritually Charged Influence of Words

This should almost be an impossible thing to achieve because of the powerful spiritual influence of words we can’t escape as spirits, however, if we live by other words such as ‘Love’ this can become the foundation of all other things that we say and believe. Perhaps another way to combat the powerful spiritual influence of words is to no longer refer to Black people as black, or White people as white, and remove these terms from our vocabulary because what does skin colour have to do with anything? Except that it is the beauty in which I am manifested physically.

In what scenario is it necessary to refer to a person as a “black” person or a “white” person, especially when there are terms for that for appropriate situations like a victim identifying a perpetrator, such as Caucasian and African-American in countries such as the USA. In love and understanding, as the “community of color” has many shades, we must refer to specific identifications as ‘yellow’ and ‘chocolate’ or ‘deep chocolate’ and ‘caramel’. Why not use better words, in being in wisdom, to navigate the world and the state it’s in?

Now, the world is ruled by the devil, and that is why it looks and sounds like it does. Even in the “community of color”, yellow-toned people are called “light-skinned” and that alone makes them more “favorable”, while the “dark skinned” are unfavored, and I know, it is because their skin is referred to as “dark” to begin with. It is not that their skin is not as beautiful, it is that their skin is informed and influenced by the spiritually powerful meaning of the word ‘dark’.

The Needed Change in Society

The above is a plain and big example, but this influence of words exists in all words and all their meanings. For some words, the different meanings are engraved because the word exists as if on its own and not pasted on someone’s identity or body. All words are spiritually powerful and influential, and that is because you are a spirit and words are spiritual; you and your words exist in the same realm and that is what manifests in the physical realm.

So, be informed and aware of the influential power of words. Let us make necessary changes in society because we are informed, enlightened, and in love. In the same way that words like ‘retard’ have been shunned by society, there is still more work to be done in this region. And remember, watch what you say because you will suffer or rejoice according to the contents of your tongue.
