Chinese New Year – The Year of the Snake is being celebrated all over the world and Avari Towers Karachi hosted a grand celebration of the Chinese New Year at its renowned Dynasty Restaurant on Wednesday, 29th January 2025. The event brought together esteemed guests from the business community, media, and social influencers to mark the beginning of the Lunar New Year with traditional Chinese festivities.
The event was well attended by diplomats including Honorary Consul General of Yemen Mr. Ikhtiar Baig, Honorary Consul General of Morocco Mr. Ishtiaq Baig, Honorary Consul General Republic of Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) Mr. Fazal Karim DadaBhoy and Honorary Consul General of Philippines Dr. Imran Yousuf Muhammad (Dr. Imran Jofa). Notable celebrities, business-leaders, socialites, influencers and selected members of social-media were also present.
Guests were treated to an exquisite culinary experience, featuring an authentic Chinese menu curated by expert chefs headed by Chef Martin Yang along with festive décor reflecting the spirit of the occasion. The pre-set menu had something for everyone, with warm Chinese Green Tea upon arrival, which was followed by Hot and Sour Soup. As starters we were served with Chicken Spring Rolls and Fried Tempura Prawns. Main courses included Stirred Fried Vegetables & Mushrooms, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Green Chili Beef Tenderloin, Steamed Red Snapper on Soy Sauce and Egg Fried Rice. Steamed Red Snapper stole the show with perfection in doneness. Red Snapper was cooked to perfection with slightly sweet taste to it.
